Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 8 September 2026
These terms cover your use of the PierNode API, dashboard and website. By creating an account or sending a request to the API, you agree to them.
In these terms, PierNode, we and us mean the operator of the service published at piernode.com. You means the person or organisation using it.
The service
PierNode is a pay-per-use API for generating and transforming images and video. You send requests, we run them, and you are charged for the work that succeeds.
Your account
You need an account to use the API. Keep your sign-in credentials and your API key to yourself: anything done with your key is treated as done by you, and we cannot tell the difference. If you think your key has been exposed, replace it from the dashboard — the old one stops working immediately.
One account may hold one API key at a time. You are responsible for keeping the email address on your account current, because it is how we reach you.
Balance, pricing and charges
Your account holds a prepaid balance in US dollars. You add to it by paying an invoice through our payment provider; the balance is credited once that payment is confirmed.
When you submit a request, its cost is reserved from your balance. If the request succeeds, the reservation is charged. If it fails, or if it stops making progress and is abandoned, the reservation is released back to your balance automatically. Every one of these movements appears in the transaction list on your dashboard.
Current rates are published on our pricing page and through the API's own pricing endpoint, which is what that page displays. Rates can change; the rate that applies to a request is the one in effect when you submit it. Requests that have already been charged are not repriced.
Your balance is not a deposit account. It earns no interest, it is not transferable between accounts, and it can only be used to pay for PierNode usage.
Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Plisio. Cryptocurrency payments are final once confirmed on the network, and we cannot reverse one.
If we charge you for work we did not deliver, tell us — that is a mistake on our side and we will correct it. Where a request fails, the automatic release described above is normally the correction, and it needs no action from you. For anything else, write to support and we will look at it.
What you may not do
You may not use PierNode to produce, or attempt to produce:
- sexual content involving minors, or anything that sexualises a minor;
- sexual or intimate imagery of a real, identifiable person who has not consented to it;
- content that impersonates a real person or organisation in order to deceive, including forged documents, records or identification;
- content intended to harass, threaten or defame a specific person;
- anything whose creation or distribution is illegal where you are, or where we operate.
You also may not resell raw access to the API in a way that conceals the terms above from the people using it, attempt to circumvent rate limits or billing, probe the service for vulnerabilities without our written agreement, or use the service in a way that degrades it for others.
If you build a product on PierNode, the obligations above apply to what your users do through it. It is your job to hold them to it.
Your content
You keep whatever rights you have in the material you send us and in the results you receive. We do not claim ownership of either.
You are responsible for having the right to submit what you submit. If you upload an image of a person, that includes having whatever permission is needed to do so.
We store your inputs and results so the service can work and so you can retrieve them; how, and for how long, is described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability
We work to keep PierNode running, but we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption, that a request will succeed, or that a result will meet a particular expectation. Model behaviour is not deterministic, and the same request can produce different results.
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for anything arising from your use of the service beyond the amount you paid us for the usage the claim concerns.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using PierNode at any time and delete your account from the dashboard.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used for the prohibited uses above, or that is attacking the service. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and material changes will be announced by email to the address on your account. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
